Nancy
Nancy L. Pearl, co-founder of Pearl Schneider Young LLC practiced law for over thirty years.

Admitted to practice in the State of Colorado in 1984, Ms. Pearl was also licensed to practice in the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado. She graduated from the University of Michigan in 1982 with a B.A. in Economics and Sociology, and earned her J.D. from Southwestern University School of Law in 1984.

Ms. Pearl was selected as one of the Colorado Super Lawyers for 2010, 2011 and 2012. Ms. Pearl was AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbell. Prior to co-founding Pearl Schneider Young LLC, Ms. Pearl was a partner in Miletich Pearl LLC.

Laura Trask Schneider focuses her practice on insurance defense litigation, including first- and third-party liability claims, construction defect coverage litigation, subrogation claims, and coverage analysis, in which she reviews and analyzes coverage issues under a wide-variety of insurance policies and forms, including commercial general liability, automobile, homeowners, and other specialty policies.  She has advised clients and analyzed matters related to allocation of indemnity and defense costs among multiply-triggered policies, and has been involved in bringing and defending declaratory judgment actions with respect to the same.  Ms. Schneider has also defended carriers in first-party bad faith claims and claims under the Colorado Consumer Protection Act.  Ms. Schneider also has experience in the defense of predatory lending claims.  She is experienced in all aspects of litigation, including motions practice, discovery, settlement negotiations, trials and appeals.

Mr. Young is a member of Pearl Schneider Young LLC.  Mr. Young practices in the area of insurance defense litigation and has extensive experience in all aspects of litigation including discovery, motions practice, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and jury trials.  His entire career has been spent litigating cases.  Mr. Young has completed over fifty-five jury trials throughout Colorado, is a faculty member at the National Institute for Trial Advocacy, and is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates.

In 2016, Mr. Young had the honor of being one of three attorneys Nationwide who were nominated and selected by the National Institute for Trial Advocacy for the Next Generation Faculty Development Program. As a “NextGen” faculty member, Mr. Young taught, and continues to teach, trial skills at NITA programs throughout the Country.

Before joining Pearl Schneider Young LLC, Mr. Young, served as trial counsel for  Farmers' in-house litigation team.  In this position, he litigated a broad array of legal actions which included:  premises liability, commercial liability, general liability, and motor vehicle accidents.

Leah joined Pearl Schneider Young in 2013. She has approximately ten years of experience working as an insurance defense litigation paralegal.   Ms. Cuthbert has been involved in all areas of insurance defense litigation; she is proficient in assisting attorneys in handling discovery, assisting in drafting motions and other legal pleadings, laying the groundwork for successful depositions and mediations, and trial organization and preparation.  Ms. Cuthbert also has significant experience with all aspects of obtaining probate court approval of minor settlements, and is well-versed in the Colorado Rules of Probate Procedure in this regard.  Leah’s experience and knowledge are irreplaceable.
